Pre Pack

Ready for Kindergarten

This Spring, the Advanced Child Development students worked with preschoolers at the Jasper County Headstart.  As a thank you for allowing us to work with them, the ACD students made drawstring backpacks for them to take to Kindergarten this Fall.  Additionally, each bag was stuffed with school supplies.  The supplies included folders, crayons, glue, a pencil box or pouch, pencils, scissors, an eraser, and a note pad.

Students in ACD wrote letters to local businesses and spoke with community members to seek the donations of school supplies.  We received donations from Walgreens and the following community members:  Diana Boersma, Judy Roberts, Sarah Kritlow, Debbie Turpin, Ron Cates, Carson Pewitt, Tina Stacey, Karen Howard, Bill Shepard, and Dan Ellenwood.  Thank you to everyone who supported our cause.
