  1. Why would parents need substitute care?
  2. What types of care are there? To who/where would you take your kids?
  3. How would you know that your child was safe or being well taken care of?

Study Guides

Today, we will be working on review for the Midterm through completing a study guide.  We will go over the answer to the study guide at the beginning of class tomorrow.  You may work with a partner to complete it.  If you finish early, use the remainder of time to quiz each other from the study guide or work through quiz let practice on your own.

Activity Plans

It's time to start planning our center activities for Jasper County Head Start.  They have requested that we focus on Easter/egg/bunny/spring kind of themes.  The class is  the pre-k class.  There are 19 children who will be going to kindergarten in the fall.  They would like us to include number identification and rhyming because those seem to be the most difficult areas for several of the children.

Your group is to select an activity for  one of the following:

  • Art/craft
  • Music/movement
  • Math - number identification
  • Rhyming
  • Story Time
Once your group has selected the activity, then you will complete the following mini lesson-plan.  You will need to put any links in the Notes section for any printables.  I will print them out for you.

Game Day

Today we begin preparing for the midterm.  We are kicking it off with a game day.

First, go to Quizlet and make a copy of my midterm vocab set.  Use your early work time to review and study the set.
